Turtlekit felt the fur on the back of his neck rise, the loud thunderous noises outside driving him against his mother's side. He shivered lightly, feeling guilty for fearing the loud noises. He wanted to make sure that everything was okay, but then that was impossible. Helping every member of his clan? Yea, not really possible. But suddenly, everything went quiet. Turtlekit sighed out a bit, happy that the commotion was over, when he heard some anxious voices outside. Something about 'fire'. He felt his nose wrinkle, tail fluffing out a bit at the word before he stood and poked his head out of the den, watching as cats gathered under Ebonystar's gaze.

Fire. Had to leave. Leave? Turtlekit saw his mother behind him, then, carrying Hopekit in her mouth and looking up at the leader with fear in here eyes. And just like that, all of a sudden, he was washed into the current of cats moving away. Away? he couldn't even tell what direction they were going, following his mother closely. He made sure that all his siblings were in front of him, scanning to assure himself that nothing bad would happen. He found himself next to Sweetkit- he had never really spoken with her, but the grim look on her face allowed him to leave her be. He saw a lanky black cat reach down and lift the small kit with a look of immense worry in her sage eyes, brows worried. A thicker silver warrior padded beside her, but he couldn't remember either of their names.

Next he needed to find Flakepaw. Looking around for the white apprentice, Turtlekit hardly noticed how he was slowly being seperated from his family. Cats were moving faster than his legs could keep up with, and soon when he looked forwards the pelts of his family were gone from his vision. Fur standing on end once more, Turtlekit gave a soft sound and rushed forwards, searching. How could he possibly help them if he couldn't even find them?

Fear built up in the back of his throat, causing him to choke for a moment. He took that moment to look behind him, and what he saw sent chills down his spine. It looked as though it were dawning, but from the wrong direction. A great glow forced it's way into the dark sky, clawing at the soft darkness with tendrils and coils of oily black smoke. Turtlekit froze, his eyes wide for a moment before he turned and ran, tears pricking the edges of his eyes. Finally, he found a pelt that stood out to him.

Raggedstorm padded ahead of him, great and dark and grim. Turtlekit swallowed and followed the tom, careful to keep his distance. How... how could he fight that? How could he fight the sun? He was only a knight, not the moon!
Turtlekit bab being scared out of his wits just a bit.

That fact that this is labeled the knight and that he was looking for Flake kills me on the inside. *crosses fingers cuz Flake HAS to make it so she can be there for Turtle. She PROMISED after all that she would always be there to kick him back onto his paws...*
