Personality:
Righteous- No matter the situation, Ishranth always follows a strict moral code. He gets things done in the way that he thinks is 'good' or he doesn't do it at all, often causing him to either forget about things or put them off for moral reasons. He will stop others, or at least try to stop them, when they are participating in something he deems morally unacceptable. 

Gullible- Despite his strict moral compass, with the right lie Ishranth will bend easily to anyone's will, making him a rather good pawn. He also tends to believe anyone he doesn't think 'looks' bad, and will shy away from those who look stereotypically ill-natured. 

Goofy/carefree- Although working and training gives Ishranth a great feeling of satisfaction, he's just as happy doing nothing at all and goofing off with friends or Bara Mayera. He Doesn't put much stake in worrying over things, doesn't hold grudges and in general keeps a good, optimistic mood. 

Tough- Because of his past and intense physical training, Ishranth is both mentally and physically tough. He can take being dejected or horrific events in stride, hardly ever losing his optimism. His physical strength comes from the training that Bara Mayera put him through, hardening his body into a weapon.

Personality:
Protective: Bara Mayera is a powerful spirit, no doubt about that. She has one thing and one thing alone that she protects, and that is Ishranth. She adores him with her whole self, looking after him and making sure that he doesn't do anything that could possibly get him in trouble or injured. She hates the idea of being separated from him. 

Quiet: Bara Mayera hardly ever speaks to anyone besides ishranth, and even then most of the time they don't need to speak with one another. They have an emotional connection that allows them to have complete conversations in silence, and oftentimes Ishranth speaks for her. She's more of a hulking shadow than anything else to others.

Amoral: Abiding by very few morals, Bara Mayera will mostly just do what Ishranth decides is right or wrong. If she were by herself, she would abide only by personal necessity without thought to what was 'right' or 'wrong'. Really, her only sense of what is 'right' or 'wrong' comes from Ishranth patiently explaining it to her. She doesn't really like to fight, but will do so with vigor if it's to protect someone else. 

Serious: She has a very hard time relaxing around others, her face remaining stoic whenever in the presence of someone other than Ishranth. Again, she remains nothing more than a hulking shadow to most, towering over Ishranth rather intimidatingly. Bara Mayera insists that training and work is just as important as relaxation and so trains with Ishranth as often as she can convince him to focus. 

Backstory:

Ishranth Pandari was born into a wealthy family, the third of five children, all boys. He was born a month early, leading to some slight mental and physical abnormalities. He was born with a cleft palate, but it was mild enough not to need surgical intervention. He also has several sensory needs, such as his inability to walk anywhere without wearing shoes- he has to wear them even in the water- and his love of deep pressure. There are more, but they are less obvious and tend to surprise those around him. The shirt under his cover shirt is a compression shirt and it helps him be calm and not twitchy. He's rather small for his age, though Bara Mayera's size makes him look smaller than he really is. 

For the most part, Ishranth's parents were loving despite their lack of time for him. After all, with twin younger brothers loving to get in trouble, he couldn't blame them for trying to keep them all in line. He spent a majority of his time with his Spirit, thinking of her as a mother more or less, hence the name. She does have another, but elected to be called Bara Mayera because she feels that it describes her rather well. The Kangaroo spirit and he went out of the house frequently, exploring the estate around their house. One night they decided to camp out and, in the morning, saw that their house had been looted and everyone inside killed. They stayed around the estate for a while, burying the bodies before they burned the house down and decided to move on. Ishranth ahas tried not to forget about it, striving never to do anything 'bad'. He carries around a picture of his family in the backpack that he took from the estate before burning it down. an

He trained with Bara Mayera for two years as she taught him the natural fighting abilities that she was born with. He learned Kalaripayattu, a style of marital arts and general fighting, and one of the oldest forms of martial arts. Then, when he turned 11, they found the school and decided the enroll. Although their emotional bond was very strong, Ishranth had no idea how to channel his Spirit's abilities. Now, just after a year of schooling, he has been deemed a natural at it, though fighting for anything other than the betterment of both individuals he deems 'not good' and refuses to participate unless someone might have a chance of hurting one of his friends. 

The abilities that he gains from Bara Mayera are primarily defensive, as she is a defensive Spirit. Therefore, he often serves as the shield for teams, blocking elemental attacks. Channeling Bara Mayera's energy, he becomes resistant to fire, ice and dark magic. He also has the ability to direct her knowledge of fighting into himself, increasing the power of his blows by putting the power of both her arms and legs into his fists. They fight well together, but prefer to do other things such as read or talk to the other students. They also spend a majority of their time outside of class outdoors, soaking up the sun.
